Well, don't fear we are here!! Brandon and I had kinda fallen off the Blogging radar, but we are back! Well, I'm back. Brandon just reads. He never contributes a post but, maybe I can talk him into it. He is always getting on me about updating the blog, when he could just as easily do it himself! (Ahem....enough of that soap box!)

So here it goes, a lot has happened since we last posted. Lets start with the most fun our our little trio here in AZ, Brooklynn. Our sweet baby turned 1 years old April 1st. I cannot believe she is already almost 16 months old! Where does the time go? She has really come into her own. She has her fathers personality. She is funny, and makes me laugh everyday. She can be so sweet, but she can also be very rotten! (Wonder where she gets that from...) She LOVES to read books. She will bring them to you all day long if you let her. She has also come to know DORA! She already has an obsession, it's not good, but it is cute for now. She says so many words. Of course her favorite ones right now are DORA, This? and NO! She also loves to say Baby, ball, Da Da, Ma Ma, Shoes, juice and my favorite, Cracker. She also makes a growling noise for every animal she sees. Oh, but probably the cutest thing she does right now is fake yawning! She has a book with a fairy that gets very sleepy and is yawing in a picture, and whenever Brooklynn sees the picture, she does the yawn. It is so stinking cute. She also loves to dance. She loves any kind of music that will give her a beat, and she will twirl, and stomp her feet. She is also such a water baby. She loves to go swimming, which is good since we live in AZ, we can go just about all year round! She is our little "Love Bug" and we just can't get enough of her!

OK, now on to Brandon. He is dutifully going to school everyday. He's pushing through PA school like a champ! He is almost finished with his didactic year. His finals are next week. Then he has 3 weeks off and we are going to ID for a Vaca!!! Yay for us! He has done really well with the tough schedule that you get in PA school. However, He always seems to find time for Brooklynn and I. He spends a lot of time with us and I am so grateful for him. Also, when he can, he really enjoys to get out and play basketball with some of the guys from his class. I am so proud of him! I am excited for this next year to start for him. He is going to be in his clinical year, so he will actually be dealing with patients, and not having to sit through lecture for hours out of the day!

As for me....Well, I love my job. I couldn't ask for anything else in the world than to be a stay at home mom to my lovely little girl. It is a 24/7 job, and I am "on-call" all the time, but it is so rewarding. Brooklynn makes it easy for the most part. Like I said before, she is coming into her own, so she is starting to throw little tantrums, but her good points of the day out-weigh the not so good points. I am also able to fulfill my crafting bug! My excitement most days comes from creating cute new bows to go in Brooklynn's hair. I have also picked up jewelry making. I make her bracelets, and necklaces to go with her outfits. She is dressed to the nines everyday, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It is my passion/obsession to make her as cute as possible!

Shew! Now, that was an update! I hope it wasn't to wordy for all of you. I pinky promise to keep this bloggin going! It is to much work to always be playing catch-up! Just like house work....it is much easier to keep things up if you work on it everyday. So, I'm not saying I will have something to post everyday, but I will be posting more often! Also, I promise to post pictures next time, and fewer words!

Layla Grayce Blanket Set GUEST GIVEAWAY!!!!

Layla Grayce Blanket Set GUEST GIVEAWAY!!!!
So cute, and snuggly!! Brandon is in the middle of his mid-terms, and Brooklynn and I are just hanging around the house. We have missed Brandon, but we know that he needs to study to get through school. I so look forward to the next phase in our lives when we are out of school, and settled in a HOUSE. Speaking of houses, I have had a lot of time on my hands lately. I have become addicted to the home channel! I love to watch all the different decorating shows, and the house hunting shows. Which has made me move furniture around in our little apartment. I have to say I have learned a lot from those shows. I feel my apartment is a lot more inviting when you walk in. It makes me so excited for when I finally get my first home. I know it wont be much, but I will be able to call it mine!

The weather here has been BEAUTIFUL! It has cooled down so much, we can sleep with our windows open. We have even turned off the AC. That will help with the electric bill. However, the news said that it is supposed to heat back up this weekend. So, we will just enjoy it while it is here. Arizona is such a beautiful place. I can see us living here for a while.

Brooklynn has been busy playing, and learning new things everyday. She has recently become obsessed with her feet! I guess I should say not just her feet, but every ones! She thinks feet are the funniest things in the world! She will sit there for minutes just watching you move your feet giggling the entire time. She loves to "chew" on her toes. I only wish I was ever that flexible! We got her a Johny Jump up that we had to modify to work in our apartment. I have to admit, I have a handy dandy Husband that I never really knew I had! He is full of solutions! Brooklynn has also been having a lot more verbal outbursts these days. We will just be walking through Wal-Mart and she will be chuckling at EVERYTHING, then she will suck in air and make her funny little noise! It is so fun to watch her, and to wonder what she thinks is so funny. I love that she is big enough now to sit in the shopping cart! I just really need to by a cart cover for her!

For those of you who don't know, I have decided to make Brooklynn's costume this year for Halloween. She is going to be Tinker Bell. I have recently finished the skirt, but I am still trying to talk myself into starting the top. I don't know why I am so afraid. I just need to start, then I won't stop until it is finished. I hope it turns out good enough to go get her pictures taken. This is just the beginning of the skirt. I'm still not sure if I am going to "jazz" it up anymore.

All About Brooklynn.

Brooklynn got her pictures done! We finally got her into a portrait studio. We took her to JC Pennys. It was a little rough at first, but once she ate, and got a mirror she was much better. She would not smile for anyone but herself! I'm so lucky that I have a genius for a husband, or we would have never gotten a good picture out of her! He was the one who had the idea to go to the hair salon and ask to borrow a hand held mirror. I will have to remember to bring one next time! Here are just a few. You can tell which ones are before the mirror and which ones are after!

Brooklynn has also learned how to sit up! She is becoming a pro at this! It was so crazy because it was like one day she couldn't and the next day she could. She is now starting to reach for EVERYTHING. Her favorite thing right now is the remote control. I think it is because she sees us with it all the time, so she thinks it must be something fun.

I am so thankful to have her in my life. She brightens my day everyday. I love just staying at home, and watching her learn and grow. I have also become a bit more crafty. One of my favorite past times is to make her hair bows. I have recently learned a new flower that you make out of fabric. My friend Kimber had one that someone made her little girl, and I fell in LOVE with it! So, I looked it up online, and learned how to make them. They are a lot of fun to make, and not hard at all.

She's a big Girl now

Brooklynn had her wellness doctors visit Thursday the 2ND. She has grown so much! She was officially 3 months old as of July 1st. She is 23 3/4 inc long, and weighs 12 lbs 14 oz! She is in the 75% for her height, and 50% for her weight. One chunk-a-monk!!

She also had to get her immunizations. I have put them off for a month, and then decided that if I was doing them, she needed to get them now so she would not be so behind. It was really hard for me. I had anxiety about it all week. I really don't like to see her upset, and I was worried about how she was going to react to them. Brandon was able to go with me, which helped me a lot. I don't think I would have been able to go without him. She was a bit cranky after her shots. Her legs got really hot, and she had a fever. So, she got her first dose of meds, which I'm sure is the first of many. Then she was back to my sweet, spoiled little Brooklynn.

Brooklynn N her Be'Be' Pod

Every Morning Brooklynn has a routine. She gets up around 6a.m. I feed her, and then she goes in her swing. She then swings until she falls back asleep. Meanwhile, I either go back to sleep, or I work out. Then about 3 hrs later she wakes up to eat. Then, it is play time. She loves to just lay on the floor and watch the lights on the TV. but, she really loves to be in her Be'Be pod. It keeps her upright, and she can watch the TV, and she can play with her toys. She isn't quite ready to reach for her toys, but she is catching on. I can see it in her eyes that she knows she wants it, she just does not know how to reach for it yet. I cannot believe my baby girl is getting so big!! She is so much fun! Sorry guys, I'm not sure why it is so hard for me to do this! But, this is our trip we went on in May. My brother got married in NC, and we went to visit. Brandon and I stayed in NC for two weeks. It was a lot of fun. He worked at my dad's office, and I just kinda hung out at the pool with my sisters. Our last night, my dad took all of us to the bowling ally. It was so much fun! When we were little, we never went out like this. He was always to busy. The grand kids get the best of him, which is so fun to watch. I love my father so much, and I am so thankful for all of his support over the years, and the continuing support he gives. I know I'm a little late on Fathers day, but I just wanted to share how much I love and appreciate my Daddy. Here are some pictures of the trip...
Me, Angie, and Jackie with our new baby's born just a week apart; Brooklynn, Hunter, and Brinley.

One of Rex and Kensi's wedding cakes. However, things are going to change. I have promised to many people now that we have moved away. So, this is what has happened, and what is in store for us.

We had a beautiful baby girl April 1 2009, Brooklynn Reece Tanner, she weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 19 inc long. She lost about 12 oz, but now is weighing over 10 lbs! We blessed her May 3, and then moved from ID to Mesa AZ. We are still in the process of setting up the new apt. We drove down, but stopped in Las Vegas for a night. It was supposed to be a night full of fun and adventure, but by the time we got to the hotel, Brooklynn and I were spent! So, Brandon put us to bed, and then went down to the tables. He only took a few bucks, and said that he would come back if he lost it... needless to say... he was back shortly! We got up the next morning and went down to the Breakfast buffet. This was the first buffet in Las Vegas Brandon had ever been to, and he has been to Vegas a few times! Then by noon we got on the road again headed for Mesa.

Since then we have just been unpacking, and setting up the apt. It is a culture shock here in Mesa. I went to stressing that Brooklynn was to cold, to stressing about her being to hot! I think now I would prefer her to being cold because then you can bundle and cuddle. With her being to hot, there isn't much you can do! We are all getting used to the heat.

We went to church for all three hrs today! I know that doesn't seem like a big thing to most of you, but I cannot even remember the last time we attended all three meetings. It was very nice. I really think we are going to enjoy our ward. Lots of young couples like us here.

We will go to NC on Friday for two weeks! I am so looking forward to that. My brother Rex is getting married. It is going to be so fun to see everyone.

Brandon will start school in June. He drove me down by his school yesterday. It is really pretty. If you didn't know we were in Mesa, you would think we were somewhere exotic! It is so beautiful! Palm trees everywhere, and very manicured. Ever since I first met Brandon he has said he wanted to live somewhere with palm trees. He has gotten his wish.

Here are some pictures of the last bit in our lives.

Brooklynn, Moving from ID to AZ.

Blessing day May 3, 2009

Hiccups

So, I have been really bad about posting about my pregnancy. So, today I decided that I would. It is so amazing to feel Brooklynn inside of me! She has been getting the hiccups so often these days! Today alone I have counted, and she has had them 4 times! I started to get worried, but then I did some research, and learned that it is very normal, and even healthy for them to get the hiccups. Some say that it is a sign of a healthy baby, and one that is going to be a strong breather. I wish I would have documented the first time I felt her, but at first I just thought she was hitting me over and over in the same spot, until I realized that she was having the hiccups! It is so crazy to feel her having them. I felt bad at first because I know I am just misrible when I have the hiccups, and I thought maybe she was too, but everything that I have read says otherwise. Hopefully, this is not a sign that she will have them all the time when she is here. If she does then I think she will become misrible, and get irriated at them. I cannot wait to see her, and be able to hold and kiss on her! I really want this month to go by fast.

Update

Here is an update on us. We had a wonderful Christmas. We went a little over board on each other. I figured it was ok since it is the last Christmas with just the two of us. Brandon got a new golf bag, and games for his x-box. I got a sewing machine, and an ipod.

Christmas eve all of Brandons family came over to his parents house for dinner and a little "together" time. It was a lot of fun. It was my first experience with the Christmas hats. It is a tradition in the Tanner family that you have to wear a Christmas hat during dinner.

Brandon and I spent Christmas eve at his parents house. We woke up with them and opened presents. It was my first Christmas away from home, and it went really well.

Happy Birthday To Brandon! 1/5

We went out to Dinner with Brandon's Parents, his sister Jen and her kids, and sister-in-law Melissa. I had a cake made for him and we ate it there. I got him a new hoodie from BYU I. He said that is the only memorabilia he wanted from here. We are so excited! Brandon has worked so hard, and prepared so much for this and now we really have a spot! It really has taken a load off of him and me. He stressed a bit, but now we can just relax. We have not heard anything from the TX's schools yet, but I think he will still go and check them out if they want an interview. I don't really see the point, but whatever he wants to do is fine with me. I am just happy that we are really going to be leaving Rexburg! It really isn't that bad, but with the weather how it is now, it really makes me want to get outta here! The high for today is 9 degrees! I'm sure when we move to AZ, I will complain about how hot it is. What can I say? I'm a complainer. But, I have promised myself that I'm going to try and make the best of this winter b/c it is the last one here in Rexburg. I really want to make a Snowman. Brandon thinks I'm crazy, but I've never made one before. The snow that we have gotten though, is not the right kind of snow for snowmen... Brandon should know I guess. I have no idea. I also really wanted to try out snowboarding again.... But since I'm prego, Brandon said it's not the best idea. I guess he still remembers last year, and how I was in the snow on my stomach the entire time! So, that is it for now. I will post about Christmas later. I'm very excited about Christmas this year. It will be the first Christmas for me away from home, but I know the Tanners will take care of me!

Dr. Appointment

So, Brandon and I went to my doctor on Thurs the 20th, and we found out that we are having a little girl! I'm so excited, Brandon on the other hand was not so excited. He had convinced himself that we were having a boy. I told him not to do that to himself, but he did anyway. He is excited now though. Our little girl is going to have him putty in her hands! Girls are always Daddy's Girls. She is'nt going to want anything to do with me! I am just excited that everything looks good, and that she is healthy. We have not decided on a name yet. I think I'm going to have to wait until I see her to give her a name. We have a list that we like, but we will see. I felt so bad that he was so sad that is wasn't a boy, I let him get an early Christmas/Anniversary/B-day gift. He got an X-Box 360! That made him happy!

Summer Fun "update"

So, yes it has been a while since I have posted anything. Here is an update. We have been busy this summer. We went to Canada for Canada day which was July 1. It was tons of fun. We went up a day early to stay with Matt and Sadie. Then we had the 4th of July here in ID. Everyone came home to Mom and Dad T's. The boys had a modified Tanner cup, that Brandon won. It was great getting to see everyone. Then Brandon and I went on a trip to NC to see my Family. Almost everyone was there. Brookie and his kids didn't get to make it, and neither did the Stuckis. It was still fun. Kari-Jo, Joni, and me and Brandon went to Bush Gardens. That was the first time Brandon had ever been. I think Bush Gardens is the BEST Theme Park ever!

Then.... we found out that we have exciting news...we are expecting a BABY! We are so excited to bring a little one into this world. The baby is due April 6, 2009. I found out while we were in NC, but waited a week before I told Brandon. I was going to surprise him, but I couldn't hold out long enough.

Then we got to go to White Fish to Aunt Debbie and Uncle Peters Cabin. It was so beautiful. It was a lot of fun. Lots of water play, and just sitting in the sun reading a book. It was so relaxing. That was Brandon's last little trip before he had to go back to school.

Me on the other hand... I went to San Diego CA to visit with my Mom while my Dad was in meetings there. We went to the Temple, which was so beautiful inside and out, and we just hung out. I was there to keep her company. Then about a week later I went back to NC for Tara and TC's sealing. It was such a great experience. It was very touching to see those kids dressed in white getting sealed to their parents. All of us sisters were there. We are all very excited for them.

That is about it... Brandon is back in school. We have applied to PA schools, and now we are just waiting for invitations to come and interview. I'm just working still as a receptionist at Community Care. I love my job. It is going to be sad when we have to move. I will post some pictures later.

Goin' Back in Time

On Sat. night we went to a Beatles concert. Can you see these guys? They look just like the real thing! It was so much fun. Mom and Dad T, and the Housleys came out too. It was here at the BYU I stadium. They were really good. I think Jenn had the most fun though. She didn't sit the entire time! She was up dancin'. I got up a few times, but my "stick in the mud" husband didn't want to stand up with me. He was tired though. All day Sat, he was golfing with his dad. They went 18 holes. But, it was a great time. It was so much fun to see all the different ages enjoy such great music. There were lots of older people to young kids that were there. The Beatles will never get "old". Brandon said to me when we got home, that he wished we grew up during that era. I said why? So, I made her a burp cloth, receiving blanket, and little socks. I then decided that she also needed an outfit to go with all of the accessories. So, this was the final present. Brandon said that I went way overboard, but I had tons of fun doing it. My favorite part were the socks. They are so cute! I just wanted a little foot in them! These were my first socks that I have done. I think they turned out really great. Thank you Kari Jo for teaching me how to do this. I really love it, and it is very therapeutic!

First Lesson in Golf..."Don't talk in the back swing!"

So, here is a question for all of you. Is golfing on Sunday against the Sabbath? Now, I know what all of you are thinking...of course it is! However, when you are married to someone who likes to argue this fact, I would like to tell you some of his side. His thinking is that he has already bought a season pass so he didn't have to pay anything. We attended all of our meetings today, so we didn't skip out on church, and we went together. His argument was that it is just like going to the park and throwing around a fris-bee. So, I pose the question again, is it breaking the Sabbath to go golfing on Sunday? I happen to be on the fence at this point. At first it was a definite yes, but now having gone, I'm not so sure. It was a beautiful night, and it was really nice just the two of us on the green. I of course didn't play, but it was great just walking it with him. One more thought, by me going with him, it also made him control his tongue. To any of you who know Brandon, he rarely gets worked up, but when it comes to his golf it comes out! I didn't help his game by any means. Going back to the title of this blog, I got the first lesson the first tee off! We had to "scratch" the first ball because I asked him a question in his back swing! I learned my lesson, and the rest of the 8 I was very much aware of when I could ask a question! I apologize to those of you who think we are terrible saints, but here are a few pictures of today..

Look at the beautiful blue sky! Yeah, this was one of the first balls that we almost lost to either the brush, or the water. Brandon did well getting himself out of trouble. I think he will do well for the TANNER CUP this year! All you boys better watch out! Brandon is gonna reclaim the title! (We are staying positive, hopefully it will work!)

My Little Project

So, as most of you know, Brandon and I had to move not to long ago. We moved into an apartment that had a much bigger living room, so we decided to get couches, and give Mom and Dad Tanner back theirs. It took 6 weeks for us to get them, but it was worth it. They are gorgeous. However, I needed end tables now that I got my couch. So the hunt began... I searched for some that I liked, but did you know that end tables are expensive? You cannot find a decent one less then a hundred bucks! So, I decided to go Garage Sale shopping. I found these ones for $30 bucks! I could not pass them up, but as you can see they needed a little TLC.

So, in between the days I had to work I worked on these tables. I have come to the conclusion that I am addicted to the color RED! I LOVE IT! Brandon, however does not! But, he lets me use it while we are in a temporary place where I cannot paint the walls! I have to get my color in somehow. So, what color did I paint these babies? Yep, you guessed it.. RED! Here is stage two.

I painted them outside. As you can see, I tried to save the grass, but it did not work as well as I planed. Mind you we live in Rexburg ID, so of course it was windy! It made it difficult to get the paint even, but I did my best. So, here is the finished project. I love them! They are a bit big, but as I said before, I'm addicted to RED, so the bigger the better! I still have to find lamps to go on them, and I have a plan to put up a wall decor that includes pictures and ribbon...That is my next project! You can see the rod behind the right end table to go with it. Right now I have a mirror above the couch. (That is why there is a glare in the middle of the pic!) Oh, included in the next project I am going to cover those awful throw pillows!

Happy Mothers Day to All you Mammas!

I'm here at work on Mothers Day, and I am just thinking about all of you Moms. What a blessing/curse it is to be a Mom. I guess I should not say curse, but it is a really hard job. You never get a day off, or a break. It is constant 24/7. I just want all of you to know how much I appreciate you, and how much I look up to you. Everyone of you have taught, and still teach, me how to be a mother. That is another hard thing about being a mom.... You never "graduate" from it. You are always learning. I suppose you could say you "graduate" when you get all of your kids out of the house, but that still isn't true, because then you have your kids calling you for advice and stuff. So, Thanks for all of your examples to me. Hopefully I can take them all in and mold them into my own. So, let your hair down, lock the door, and take a BUBBLE BATH. You all deserve it! I love ya!

"Pick your own cow for dinner"

So, I am a little late with this one, but this is also from conference weekend. On the way back to UT from Idaho we stopped at this resturant, that I cannot remember the name of, that had their own cattle in a pasture in the back! Don't get me wrong it was really good. But, these pictures were just too cute for me not to post. The ones with Brandon and the kids is he was keeping them entertained while we waited to be seated... It was a very long wait, we were running out of ideas, so he would bite at their hands as they put them on his head! Preety creative, but it only kept their attention for a bit! Good Ol' uncle Brandon.

Just some Pictures of Conference Weekend

Saturday Rex and the Kids and my Mom and Dad came out to Rexburg to see Brandon and I and the Temple.

This is a picture of Kody running in our back yard in the snow.

This is Allison at the temple. We are going to play a little catch up.
Conference weekend Brandon and I went down to UT. My parents, and my handsome brother Rex and his darling kids came too. It was great! It was so much fun. I at least had fun. I kinda pawned Brandon off with my Dad and my brother. He went with them to the conference center for the second session on sat. and for the priesthood session. While he was with them, the girls and I tended to Rex's sweet babies. It was so much fun, but I think I spoiled them a little to much, but who can blame me? I haven't seen them since Christmas!
On they way home Brandon told me that he doesn't think he is ready for kids. He said that they wore him out! But then he said that it might be the best thing for him because he would loose 50 lbs from running after them! We really enjoyed seeing everyone. Sunday night Keri played hostess and invited all of My mom's siblings over for dinner. It was a lot fun to see everyone that came.
Brandon and I then came home, and just got back into the grove of school and work. We really are not that exciting. Except on Thursday of last week we found out that we had to move out of our apt! Oh, that has been a mess! But finally we got everything situated. We are moving out the 22. The new apt is really nice, I will have to take some pictures and post them when we get moved in and all decorated. That is really it for now...

Kelly Canyon.... Beautiful right? Yeah, I didn't think so when we pulled up! I literally almost soiled myself when I saw the Mt. Saturday, March 15, 2008 Brandon and I decided to go snowboarding. I have wanted to do this for the longest time! I finally got up enough nerve to get everything together to go. Mind you, I don't own any kind of snow cloths, or a snow board or anything, but we go it taken care of. Brandon's friend from work let me borrow his wives snowboard and boots, and we went to Rigby to borrow Jens snow cloths. So I was set. I was going to be warm, and I was going to have a really nice board to use! I was stoked! I was going to get so many cute pictures for the blog.... Well, as you can see that didn't work out according to plan, and neither did most of anything else!

We went night skiing, so we didn't start heading up to Kelly until around 3pm. As soon as we pulled up I deiced that I didn't want to go anymore. But, Brandon made me because he had already bought the lift tickets. The first thing you see when you pull up is this huge hill, the side of Mt, and all of these preteen kids are flying down it at a million miles an hour! I was so scared! Luckily, to the left was this little slope. I mean it barely had an incline. That is what they call a bunny slope! So, I started to head towards that, and Brandon was showing me how to put my snow board on. I was feeling confident, there were these little five and three year olds who were just flying down one there skis and boards. I thought to my self " I can do this"...... Not so much! There was a rope pull that pulled you up this little incline and so once I got strapped into my board Brandon pulled me over to it and told me to just grab on...... So I did and I got about half way up and my board went into a divot and I fell! I had to roll out of the way so I wouldn't get plowed over by the five year old who was behind me.....I was so embarrassed, and so angry at my husband! I didn't know how to move the board. So, once I got out of the way I ripped of my board and yelled " I'm Done!" (This was just the first time, it was said several more times.) then I decided to walk up the rest of the way. Brandon finally reached me and then started to ask" why did you fall? Why did you take off your board?" I was so furious I couldn't even answer him. Then he got better, and he actually started to teach me how to do it. It was not pretty. He kept yelling at me "Stand up straight, you look like your taking a dump!" Then he kept using these snowboarding terms that I had no idea what they meant. After many falls I finally got down the bunny hill. Then Brandon tells me that it is time to go up the lift! I was scared out of my mind! I was not ready to go down the entire Mt, let alone get off the lift without killing myself! He assured me that it wasn't as steep as it looked, and that he would help me get off the lift..... Well, to his credit he tried, bless his heart, but I still ate it getting off he lift, and then I saw the path of hell! It was not an easy slope down, granted it was not the steep hill you see when you pull up to the resort, but there was still a huge hill that you could not even see the bottom of, and people who knew what they were doing were just flying past us. I felt like such an idiot! I was in every ones way, and I am really glad they knew how to get around me because I couldn't move to get out of there way! To make an already long story shorter, it took Brandon and I 2 and 1/2 hours to get down the Mt. I fell over a hundred times, and I broke down in tears twice. For normal people, they could get down the same way in about 30 min. I think I saw the same group pass us 4 times! The worst part was when I broke down I couldn't wipe my tears because all of my cloths I was wearing were soaking wet from the snow, and my gloves were wet, and my hands inside my gloves were wet from sweat, so I had to just let my tears freeze on my cheeks!

Everyone tried to tell Brandon and I not to go together. That we would fight, and not have a very good time. We should have listened to them! We are still married, but it did take a toll on us. Brandon was a lot better then me. He stayed calm, and he didn't even yell at me. I could tell that he was getting frustrated, but who wouldn't when you have some one yelling at you every five seconds?

However, at the end I started to get the hang of it. Either I got the hang of it, or I knew if I fell again I wouldn't be able to get myself back up! I am so incredibly sore it is ridiculous! Every muscle in my body is throbbing. Someday I would really like to go again because they say your first time is the worst, but once you get it you get it. So, I would like to see how well I would do the next time. But, I know my body is thankful that last weekend was the last weekend they were open, so we will just have to wait till next season....

Moral of the story: Don't have your husband teach you how to do something. Take lessons from a real instructor, and once you have learned then go out and have fun. Otherwise there will be blood, tears, and really bad words said that you didn't even know you knew!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tonguetiedtanners.blogspot.com/2008/03/kelly-canyon-path-of-h-e-double-hocky.html' title='Kelly Canyon.... She wanted a picture of the cold snow I keep complaining about!

This picture was taken in the beginning of December. I was trying to get a picture for our Christmas cards. So I had this marvelous plan that we would go take pictures up in Island park. For those of you who don't know Island park is about an hour away from Rexburg. It is up by Yellowstone National park. So, on one of my days off from work I made Brandon take me up there so we could get some good pictures, however there is a catch, we went alone! We didn't have anyone to take our picture. That is how lame we are! No friends what so ever! He assured me that we could find someone up there to do it. So, we drove and drove until we came to a ghost town. I mean there was not living thing in sight! I guess that time of year is there off season. Who knew? It was too early for the snow machines, and too late for the hunters. However, Brandon was determined to get these pictures for me so we ended up at this hotel/gas station/diner, and went in and got some lunch. We were really lucky that they were even open for business! So, Brandon comes up with this story that we just got married, and we were on our honeymoon, and he talks our waitress into taking our picture. I don't think she really bought the story because why in the world would we go to Island park on our honeymoon? But, nevertheless she took our picture out in the snow, and she was really good about it. It was really funny how it all came about. I was impressed, or should I say shocked on how well Brandon could tell such a story without even missing a beat! It made me wonder if he had ever lied to me before just because he did it with such ease! I guess the funniest part of the story is that we didn't even end up using these pictures for our Christmas cards! All that work for nothing, but I guess we do get a good story out of it.

Just Starting out

So, yes we have fallen to the craze about blogging! I personally am excited to do this. However, don't expect too much. Brandon and I really don't have that much going on. I just work, and he is going to school and working. We have another year until we are finished here at BYU Idaho. I really hope it goes fast! This last year has gone by really fast. Then after that we will get into a PA program somewhere. Hopefully somewhere warm! It has snowed non stop! Of course the first winter I'm here it has to be the worst one in years. Just my luck hunh? It is getting warmer though. However, people tell me not to get my hopes up. They say that the weather will do that to you, it will get warm and make everyone have spring fever and then it will just get cold again! It really has been the longest winter I have ever experienced. I cannot wait until spring and summer.
